James A. Tramonte Jr., a Georgia Tech alum, started his professional career in private Banking at JP Morgan. After leaving JP Morgan, he founded Excelsior Imports, which specializes in its primary product, a sugar cane based rum. In the summer of 2009, Mr. Tramonte introduced Savida Sangria, the first wine product from his company, Maven Brands.
Event attendees sampled great Sangria while also obtaining critical information concerning what it takes to operate a premier liquor company!
James Tramonte’s visit with the Entrepreneurship Society for Professionals allowed him to share his journey from private Banking to being a “Winetrepreneur”.
To try learn more about Savida, visit them on the web at http://www.savidasangria.com/.

Sid Mashburn opened his store in August of 2006, and has already been highlighted in the Style section of the New York Times, and was also featured in GQ’s Top 10 fashion.
The Mashburns came to Atlanta after working in the New York and Chicago fashion scenes (Sid’s background includes namaes such as J-Crew, Tommy Hilfigger, and Land’s End). They chose Atlanta after a lot of searching and analyzing other markets. Atlanta offered growth potential, good property values, and a good business environment for starting an entrepreneurial venture.
